PCOD / PCOS Nutrition

PCOD diet plan with everyday Indian foods

You don’t need quinoa, kale or imported supplements to manage PCOD. Dal, roti, sabzi, curd and eggs — assembled the right way — do the job. Here is how we structure meals for working women in the MetricFit PCOD Reset System.

This is a general sample plan, not medical advice. Your ideal portions depend on your weight, insulin levels, thyroid status and work schedule.

Six principles that actually move PCOD symptoms

Protein at every meal

Dal, rajma, chana, paneer, curd, eggs or chicken. Protein blunts the insulin spike that drives PCOD symptoms and keeps you full through long work days.

Fix the carb, don't cut it

Roti, rice and poha stay on the plate — just pair them with protein, dahi and a vegetable so blood sugar rises slowly instead of crashing by 4 pm.

Fibre before carbs

Start lunch and dinner with salad or sabzi. Eating fibre first meaningfully lowers the glucose response to the same meal.

Healthy fats, in portions

Ghee, nuts, seeds and cold-pressed oils support hormone production. One to two teaspoons of fat per meal is plenty.

Don't skip breakfast

Skipping mornings then over-eating at night worsens insulin resistance. A protein-led breakfast within 90 minutes of waking is the single easiest fix.

Consistency over perfection

A plan you follow 80% of the time beats a strict plan you quit in ten days. That is the whole reason crash diets fail with PCOD.

What to limit (not ban)

  • Sugary chai/coffee more than twice a day, and all packaged fruit juices
  • Biscuits, rusk and bakery items as a daily snack
  • Deep-fried namkeen and evening street food as a routine
  • White bread, maida noodles and instant pasta as a meal replacement
  • Skipping meals to 'save calories' before a wedding or event

Diet alone is only part of the PCOD reset

Nutrition is one of four pillars. Strength training improves insulin sensitivity, sleep controls cortisol, and stress management keeps cycles regular. Women who fix all four typically see energy and bloating improve in 3–4 weeks and visible fat loss by month two to four.
